Italy is the epitome of sunshine, fun and family - what more could you want at your wedding?

Italy consists of approximately 20 regions that include Sicily and Sardinia, the two islands. Most of the couples I speak to know of Tuscany and Lake Como (which is not exactly a region) but knowing more about what to look out for might help you find some venues that are lesser known.

The Lakes
What I think is most important is to factor in heat when planning your wedding in Italy. The more southern you go, the hotter it will be. I would recommend sticking to regions like Lombardy, Piemonte or Tuscany during peak summer and going South when you are looking to have your wedding more towards autumn.
Lake Como and Lake Garda, the lesser known of the two laked but equally beautiful, are located in Lombardy and the surrounding regions. They offer fantastic views, a nice climate and grand venues such as the famous Villa Balbiano, or its smaller sister venue, Villa Balbianello. Keep in mind that getting around the area is difficult and you absolutely must rent a car to get around.

The Countryside
Italy’s countryside is nothing but absolutely stunning and if you like overlooking mountains and vineyards, this is the place for you. The most obvious choice is usually Tuscany but don’t sleep on other regions! Umbria, Emilia-Romagna and Lazio also have amazing spots you can get married at. Tenutas often have their own vineyards and can make wine which is amazing for taste testings with your guests. Borgos usually consist of a few buildings often built around a castle. Tenuta di Artimino or Borgo Divino are just two of the many venues you can choose from in the Italian countryside.

Ocean Views
If you want to look out on the ocean while saying your „I Dos“, Italy has a lot to offer. From the Italian Riviera down to areas like the Amalfi Coast, you can find venues everywhere. Often times they are located on a cliff which makes the view even more gorgeous. While the Amalfi Coast is more exclusive with towns like Positano and Ravello, the Italian Riviera is equally beautiful. On Italy’s East coast I would opt for Puglia because of their abundance of Masserias, traditional farmhouse that can also be luxurious wedding venues. Masseria Calderisi is only one example that offers architecure often more associated with Portugal or Spain.

The Dolomites
Lesser known but also an option are The Dolomites. I see it more and more that couples are choosing to elope in the mountains and the stunning scenery. Whether you are opting for summer or winter here – the views are going to be exceptional and I assure you that every wedding photographer will beg to shoot your wedding!

1. Get. A. Car. Italy is easy to fly into and has many airports but after having landed, taxis are expensive and driving on your own is a lot more fun anyways. Stop at farms and do a wine tasting or simply get lost in historic cities because you have the freedom to drive wherever.

2. Tax: The standard VAT rate in Italy is 22%. You will have to pay that for most venues and vendors, however some offer a reduced tax rate of 10%. If this is not specified in your quote, ask about that beforehand!

3. SIAE: Adding onto the standard tax, you will come across SIAE very quickly when booking your DJ or band. This tax can be seen as a licence for legally playing music at your wedding and is usually paid by the client of the event (couple, guests, hosts). It is similar to music royalties and the amount depends on your guest count, the type of the event and the event itself.

4. Italian vendors: The Italian planning website LaLista is a great tool for finding local vendors. However, as wedding planners we have a great network of local and international vendors who we have worked with and know are reliable and professional.

5. Commission: Unlike other countries in Europe, Italian venues and vendors will often offer commissions for wedding planners. If you are working with a planner, ask them how they handle that. I always forward the commission to my couples.

A Wedding in Germany

If you think of a destination wedding, what do you typically think of? You might say a gorgeous vineyard in Tuscany, a beautiful chateau in France or a fantastic finca on Mallorca. While these are all amazing options and I am glad to help you plan your wedding at one of these places, let me introduce a country that is diverse, beautiful and underrated for weddings: Germany!

Germany is the country I grew up in and I cannot advertise it enough for potential couples!

The landscape in Germany is as diverse as you can think of and you can find anything from gorgeous lakes to the Black Forest, the Alps and the Baltic Sea in one country.
If your dream is to get married by the ocean, surrounded by gorgeous dunes and a calm and quiet atmosphere, I would suggest looking into venues that are close to the North Sea or the Baltic Sea. If you want something more elevated, the island of Sylt is known for its high end hotels and beautiful thatched houses. One huge benefit: since the summers are a bit cooler compared to locations in southern Europe, you don’t get the overwhelming heat that you would in Spain or Italy.

If you are an active couple and love hiking in the mountains, why not host a wedding in the German Alps? You could either go very traditional and dress up in Dirndls and Lederhosen or you could have a wedding in the winter and go skiing after you said „I Do“. The Alps provide you with a gorgeous scenery and an amazing view. There are spots where you can find lakes and cute little towns or go full on mountain view only. Make sure that you know how to get to your chosen spot and how your guests will get there as well.

Another wonderful place to have your wedding at is at a lake like Bodensee. If you want something like a Lake Como wedding, but don’t want to pay for Villa Balbiano, I suggest taking a look at Schloss Meersburg. You get the views plus a stunning castle – what more can you ask for?

Speaking of landscape: with the landscape usually come unique and beautiful venues. These venues are typical for that region or area you get married at although it is up to you to choose something else.

In mountain areas you will quite often find castles. Although other countries are top of the list when it comes to the amount of castles, Germany has beautiful ones! These could either be more medieval looking castles or grand castles like the Disney castle (Schloss Neuschwanstein). Nestled into the Taunus, a mountain range in Germany, lies Schlosshotel Kronberg. It was designed for Empress Victoria to be her castle when residing in Germany. Nowadays it is a stunning hotel and wedding venue surrounded by a golf course and stunning gardens. Schlosshotel Kronberg is only one of many castles in Germany where you can host your wedding.

If you drive along the coast of the Baltic Sea, you will often find thatched houses. This look is unique for this area and fits beautifully into the scenery. On the island of Sylt you can get married at Söl’ring Hof, a stunning venue right by the beach. Not only is it a fantastic venue it is also a hotel which makes it perfect for you and your guests to stay at. The kitchen has two michelin stars and you can relax in the spa after you have partied the night away.

You are kind of convinced about a wedding in Germany but still in love with the Italian look and feel? Don’t worry, Germany has got something for every occasion. At Morrhof you get the opportunity to step into what looks like a Tuscan villa surrounded by cypresses. You can get married at several different areas of the venue and experience everything your Pinterest board has dreamed of.

Besides Germany’s gorgeous nature, there are definitely other reasons why you should opt for a wedding in Germany.

1) The clichés are there for a reason. We like to be on time and neat which makes for a great wedding experience for you. Whereas other countries in Europe like to be more laid back, Germans are very organised and detailed. They are straight forward and direct and will tell you when they think that something won’t work.
2) The clichés are also wrong at times. The rumour stands that Germans are cold and reserved and while I do think that they don’t seem as friendly and outgoing as Americans for example, this does not make them any less hospitable. They simply need some time to warm up but they are friendly and kind.
3) German history and culture. Wow! Need I say more? Some villages really feel like you have just been transported into the 16th century and it is fascinating for anyone to visit this country. While we are not proud of some part of history, it is needless to say that all over Germany you will be able to find traces of historic sights.
4) Drinks and food are great! Traditional German food is quite hearty which makes it perfect for any occasion. If you get married in Germany, make sure to look up foods from the specific region you get married at and try it out. My favourite: grüne Soße (green sauce, filled with herbs).
5) Germany is at the centre of Europe. This makes it a perfect hub for any post-wedding activities you want to do. Maybe you plan on doing a trip through Europe or having your honeymoon in one of the other countries. And if you decide you want to go the Maldives or Bali, Frankfurt Airport is the perfect place to start at.

Some couples love them, some couples hate them: wedding trends. Trends usually come and go but some are here to stay. Let’s take a look at what will be hot in 2025 and which wedding trends might become outdated.

When thinking about which wedding trends are going to come back in 2025, let’s think of the last decades if not even century.
A maximalist approach to flowers or personalised items is definitely making a comeback. Going all out in terms of floral arrangements is something I see everywhere at the moment. Personalising everything is also becoming more popular again. Couples create crests for their weddings, embroider napkins or write a letter to every single guest. This is a trend that dates back a couple of decades and was mainly used in high-end weddings.
Speaking of high-end weddings, replicating the so-called „old money“ style is definitely still in in 2025. We have seen that wedding style become more and more popular over the last couple of years and we will see it in 2025.
In 2024 very smooth and elegant wedding dresses were the brides‘ go-to style but lace is cool again. The style of the 70s is making a comeback in wedding dresses and suits.
Cake alternatives used to be the thing for couples, now wedding cakes are back! Forget about donut walls or cakepops and think of statement cakes and extravagant pieces of art.

Throughout the last couple of years destination weddings and therefore more intimate weddings have risen in popularity. I believe they will be popular for more years to come and I am here for it. Escaping to wonderful venues and combining that with a honeymoon is hotter than ever and couples are enjoying spending more time with fewer people.
Speaking of destination weddings and more intimate wedding parties, multi-day events have been popular. Couples are focusing on having a wonderful time with their guests and love to spend more than just the day of with them. Besides a welcome dinner or a post-wedding brunch, entertaining their guests over multiple days is what is trending.
If you know your way around social media, this next trend is perfect for you. Couples have been loving hiring Wedding Content Creators. A Wedding Content Creator takes pictures/videos on their phone and edits them so that they can be perfectly used for social media. You usually get stories, reels and BTS content right after the wedding. They typically do not replace a photographer or videographer but are an additional vendor.

Rethinking traditions is something that will continue to stay throughout the next years. From a first look to walking down the aisle alone or having a wedding lunch instead of dinner. Couples are rethinking traditions and starting to think about what they actually want for themselves. Maybe you don’t want to exchange vows in front of everyone but rather do it privately: You do you is the motto for the next years and I am here for it!
Last but not least: bachelor(ette) party themes. Although the actual themes vary from year to year (think Barbie in 2024), having a theme for your party is not going out of style anytime soon. Quite the opposite – more elaborate and unique themes are making their way onto Instagram and TikTok.

which trends i think are temporary

When speaking of wedding trends for 2025, we all have to acknowledge that trends will also be temporary. This is not necessarily a bad thing but you should be aware of that when planning your wedding. In my opinion, accepting it and knowing that your grandkids might think your wedding was outdated is the way to go with it.
In my opinion anything that is very specific will be temporary. What is going to be trending in 2025 are bows. You will see them everywhere, whether they are used as decoration or incorporated into accessories. Throughout the last years we have seen pearls, sequins or glitter for example which is why I think bows are not here to stay (although I LOVE this trend!). This category also includes short veils which brides are drawn to at the moment. I see short and fun veils combined with either short or long dresses everywhere right now. However, I do think that long veils will always be there and that short veils will fall out of style.
I am sad to say this but I do think that the blurry pictures are unfortunately not a forever trend. I see loads of black and white, film photography and candid shots on Instagram. While I love this trend (and made sure to have pictures like that for my own wedding), I believe that is going to change.
Every aspect of life is becoming digital and so are invitations or STDs. TikTok is the front runner for trends and sending out digital STDs over TikTok is cute right now but will not be used forever. I do however think that we as an industry need to adapt to digitalisation and be prepared to change things up.

Most importantly you should do what you think is best for your wedding. Whether you want to incorporate trends or not, it matters most that you are happy and have the wedding of your dreams. Perks of Having a Winter Wedding

Let me start bold and just put it out there: Winter* weddings are more magical than summer weddings. I might be slightly biased because I absolutely love winter. Not the grey slush type of winter, but the hot chocolate, snowfall and iceskating type of winter. But how do you achieve this kind of winter wedding and why should everyone think about getting married in the darker months? Read ahead and let me convince you of why a wedding in winter might just be what you need.

A winter wedding has a charm to it that you cannot describe but have to feel.

Let me paint you a picture: You have just said yes and get to your reception venue. You and your guests arrive at a white carpet, decorated with torches along the side and they have a mulled wine or a hot chocolate to warm up. There are elegant dresses, robes, scarves and coats everywhere and the men are dressed in smart tuxedos. At the end of the white carpet is a greenhouse with several Christmas trees. Chandeliers are hanging from the top and a jazz band is playing festive music. Dinner is a hearty and wintery menu, maybe a roast or a hearty soup. Your dance floor looks like an ice rink and guests can fill their drinks with ice from ice sculptures.
Alright, I just got carried away there but having a winter wedding does not mean missing out on atmosphere. With enough vision and creativity you can create something extraodinary no matter the weather. In my opinion there is no such thing as bad weather, just bad planning – and since I am the one planning your wedding, there is no bad weather 😉

Winter wedding vs. summer wedding

Of course I agree that there are certain things that you simply cannot have when getting married in winter, for example 30°C (85°F) and a pool party under the Tuscan Sun. However, there are also things that you cannot have when having a summer wedding that you might just not be aware of.

1. Let it snow! Personally, I think the possibility of snowfall on your wedding day is just about the best thing that could ever happen. Imagine there being a thick layer of snow or you going skiing the day after – how much fun would that be? While this is not a guarantee everywhere, there are certainly areas where this is highly likely.

2. Moody and cozy beats light and bright! The sun sets earlier in winter and while this might be something that you don’t like at first, there are positives about it. You can get your sunset couple’s pictures taken at a much earlier time of the day. This way you won’t need to sneak away during dinner and be gone for 30 minutes but you can incorporate it nicely into your timeline. The sun setting earlier also means more opportunity for an atmospheric and cozy dinner. You can include moody lighting and candles and don’t you agree that candles are better in the dark?

3. Happy New Year! You haven’t thought of that yet, have you? Winter time also means New Year’s Eve time and why not combine your wedding with New Year’s Eve! Whether it be a spectacular party on a rooftop in New York or an intimate gathering with fireworks in the Austrian Alps is totally up to you. Think of how special it would be to celebrate your wedding and start the year off in such a romantic way. Bonus: you get fireworks for free 😉

4. Dresscode: Cinderella! The options for your and your guests‘ outfits are endless. A huge benefit is that wedding dresses can be quite heavy and warm which is perfect for a wintery day. When having a summer wedding you always have to think about keeping your guests and yourself cool. Especially the men of the wedding party don’t have it easy in summer. If you get married in winter, however, you can go all out and wear all the feathers, sparkles and layers.

If you are currently planning your wedding or have already gotten married, you will know that there is a wedding season. This season usually runs from April to September which is when most couples want to have their wedding. However, having a wedding season also means having a wedding off-season.
During the off-season venues tend to be less expensive so you will either save money or get more for it. They typically have less bookings and might be more accomodating to what you want. Some venues also have different rules when it comes to hosting, for example in summer they might require an exclusive use whereas in winter you might not need to pay for all of it.
Furthermore, all of the other vendors are not going to be as busy as during the summer months. Your favourite photographer might not have any capacity two years in advance but can shoot your winter wedding even if you enquire three months before. Not being as busy also means having more time for you as a couple. Some vendors also have reduced rates in the winter months which again either saves you money or lets you go over the top with other things.
Last but not least: the food and decoration! Mulled wine, hot chocolate, indulgent desserts and serving lamb or squash dishes simply hit different in winter. Think of all the options you have and tell me that it does not sound great. Decoration wise the sky is the limit – I’m still thinking about the ice sculptures from the beginning of the article.

You keep seeing stunning pictures of castles, fincas and chalets on your Social Media and keep wondering: Where do I find locations like this? A quick Google search later and you realise they are all in Europe. Of course, the US also has stunning venues but getting married in an authentic castle or a villa in Tuscany overlooking the Italian countryside simply hits different. If you are in this situation and are thinking about a wedding in Europe, keep on reading because I have got some advice for you!

1) Europe is not one place. Keep in mind that it consists of different countries and cultures which each have their own quirks. If you are reaching out to venues in different countries, expect them to have their own set of rules.

2) When you think of Destination Wedding you might think of Italy or France immediately. However, if you go north, you will find the most gorgeous places in Germany, the UK, the Netherlands or elsewhere. Just look at Drumtochty Castle in Scotland or Schlosshotel Kronberg in Germany for example.

3) Language is key! When it comes to communicating with venues and other vendors, choose a destination that you can communicate with easily. Whether that be choosing a wedding planner that speaks the language or speaking it yourself – this is all up to you. Most people in the wedding industry will speak English but there are some who might not.

4) Expect people to be different to you. Like I said, every country in Europe is different, however there are some general differences to the US that I have noticed. Vendors tend to be slower when it comes to responding to emails. They will take their time to answer you personally and detailed and will get back to you with all the information they have. 5) Think of the climate/weather in the specific area you want to get married in. This might vary greatly to what you are used to and you might have to think of things like parasols for the guests or maybe keep an umbrella or two in the backroom just in case it rains. In general, the summer time (July-September) is a great period to have a wedding in Europe at any place although the Southern parts can get very hot during that time. If you are used to that, go for it, otherwise opt for out of season dates.

6) Have a heart to heart with yourself and your partner when deciding on a budget. Weddings in Europe can be cheaper compared to the US but factor in plane tickets, a prolonged stay at the location and whether you want to pay for your guests‘ accomodation or travel or not. Some guests might have to decline because they co not want to or cannot pay for the costs that a destination wedding entails.

7) Think about how and where you want to be married legally. Although you can absolutely do that in the country of your choice, it might be more expensive and can come with a ton of bureaucracy. It might be easier to have a civil wedding before your big one in your home state.

8) Don’t worry about the food because the cuisine in Europe is excellent. I might be slightly biased but you will not get better food anywhere else. It is all very different from country to country but you will have the best meals of your life regardless. Keep in mind that less sugar and fat is used and most of the time food is cooked from scratch, so you might be experiencing qualities of food that you did not think were possible beforehand!

9) Incorporate things that are traditional to your country of choice. Whether that means picking out certain foods, providing specific activities for your guests or even including wedding traditions in your ceremony or reception, is totally up to you. It is always nice to see the host country honoured in some type of way so I would highly encourage you to look into it.

10) Last but not least: DO IT! Europe is GORGEOUS and has wonderful places to explore. If you need something else to convince you, why not book your honeymoon there as well? A roadtrip through Italy or a relaxed vacation in Greece – your flights are already payed for and you can be anywhere in less than 4 hours (by plane).

Egal ob Schloss, Burg, Hotel oder Scheune – die Hochzeitslocation ist das wichtigste und das erste, was bei der Planung berücksichtigt werden sollte. Ihr plant eure Hochzeit in Frankfurt und habt noch keine Location? Ich verrate euch meine besten Locations für eure Hochzeit – lasst mich gerne wissen, falls euer Favorit noch nicht dabei ist.

Auch wenn ihr noch kein genaues Designkonzept haben müsst - überlegt euch vor der Auswahl eurer Location, in welchem Stil ihr feiern möchtet.

Burg Schwarzenstein
Die Burg Schwarzenstein ist eine der exklusivsten Burgen in Frankfurts Umgebung. Im Rheingau gelegen bietet die Burg eine gute Mischung zwischen denkmalgeschützter Atmosphäre und modernem Flair. Das Dinner könnt ihr im Glaspavillon der Burg genießen und im Sommer auch auf der angrenzenden Terrasse.
Auf der Burg könnt ihr nicht nur eure Hochzeit feiern, sondern auch die Tage davor und danach entspannt verbringen.

Burg Reichenstein
Oberhalb des Rheins gelegen liegt die Burg Reichenstein. Mit ihrem tollen Burggarten und dem wunderbaren Ausblick lässt sich hier perfekt heiraten. Die Zimmer des Burghotels sorgen dafür, dass ihr und eure Gäste auch nach der Party gut nach Hause kommt und einen schönen Aufenthalt habt.
Zwischen der Trauung und dem Dinner können eure Gäste an einer Burgführung teilnehmen oder sich bei einem Glas Sekt unterhalten.

Schlosshotel Kronberg
Für Queen Victoria erbaut, lädt das Schlosshotel Kronberg zum fürstlichen Heiraten ein. Einem Märchenschloss gleichend sind hier euren Wünschen keine Grenzen gesetzt: ob Trauung in der alten Bibliothek oder Speisen in fürstlichen Sälen mit anschließendem Spiel auf dem Golfplatz – eure Traumhochzeit wird hier wahr. Ein Fotoshooting im angrenzenden Park, um sich wie Queen Victoria selbst zu fühlen rundet eure Hochzeit perfekt ab.
Das Schlosshotel Kronberg liegt etwa 20 Minuten nördlich von Frankfurt.

Schloss Romrod
Das „zentralste Schloss Deutschlands“ liegt nur eine Stunde vom Frankfurter Flughafen entfernt und ist damit eine ideale Gelegenheit für internationale Hochzeiten. Die Besonderheit im Schloss Romrod: Hier könnt ihr sowohl frei als auch kirchlich heiraten. Mehrere Kirchen liegen in unmittelbarer Nähe und in der Synagoge ist sogar eine standesamtliche Trauung möglich. Ob Trauung, Dinner oder Party – hier findet ihr für jeden etwas.

Frankfurter Botschaft
Wer es lieber modern und urban mag, findet in der Frankfurter Botschaft seine perfekte Location: Direkt am Westhafen gelegen, bietet sie nicht nur die Möglichkeit einer stylischen Hochzeit, sondern auch eine tolle Atmosphäre. In Kombination mit der Strandbar bleiben hier keinerlei Wünsche offen. Der Frankfurter Römer, in dem standesamtlich geheiratet werden kann, befindet sich ganz in der Nähe und danach könnte man doch ganz entspannt im Boot zur Frankfurter Botschaft fahren, oder?

Oosten Frankfurt
Im Ostend von Frankfurt, das gerade absolut im Kommen ist, liegt das Oosten. Die Location ist durch den Mix aus Glas, Stahl und Sichtbeton ein echter Eyecatcher und kann für Hochzeitsfeiern genutzt werden. Es wurde auf alten Verladekränen gebaut und ist damit eine einzigartige Hochzeitslocation. Auch das Oosten besticht durch seine direkte Lage am Main und eine tolle Umgebung. Die Fassade der EZB hebt das urbane Feeling noch einmal hervor.

Glaspavillons
Orangerien sind schwer im Kommen, solltet ihr aber ein höheres Budget haben und keine Location finden, die all eure Wünsche erfüllt, raten wir zu Glaspavillons. Diese werden von einem Team aufgebaut und können dann durch Dekorateure professionell zum Leben erweckt werden. Glaspavillons bieten euch die Möglichkeit stilvoll, luxuriös und ganz individuell zu heiraten.

Zelte
Normalerweise verbindet man mit Zelten keine exklusiven Events, aber hohe, weiße Zelte – eventuell in Kombination mit einer „Welcome to the Circus“ Hochzeit – können mit der richtigen Dekoration zu einer wahnsinnig romantischen Location werden. Lichterketten, Feuerwerk und Blumen stellen das Ambiente her und große Kronleuchter runden den Gesamteindruck ab.
Perfekt an Glaspavillons und Zelten ist, dass sie überall aufgestellt werden können, wenn man eine entsprechende Fläche und Genehmigung besitzt.

Die Nervosität steigt und du möchtest an deinem Hochzeitstag nichts vergessen, hast aber das Gefühl, du bist noch nicht zu 100% vorbereitet? Lies dir diese 10 Tipps für die Braut durch, um dieses Gefühl loszuwerden. Vom Getting Ready bis zur Party wirst du mit diesen Tipps gut durch den ganzen Tag kommen.

Es ist eure individuelle Hochzeit - sie wird nur von uns koordiniert.

1. Alles, was drückt, weglassen. Was ist damit gemeint? Um unschöne Druckstellen oder Streifen zu vermeiden, solltest du beim Getting Ready unbedingt den BH weglassen. Das gleiche gilt für Haarbänder an den Armen – besonders, wenn man sie vergisst, abzunehmen.

2. Faltenfreies Kleid: Lass dein Kleid den Abend vor der Hochzeit am Kleiderbügel aushängen. So beugst du Falten vor und es kann sich einmal richtig „setzen“.

3. Das Beautyprogramm: Überlege dir einige Monate vor deiner Hochzeit, wie du deine Pflegeroutine gestalten möchtest. Ändere auf keinen Fall deine Routine eine Woche vor der Hochzeit – Ausbrüche und Rötungen sind vorprogrammiert.

4. Fotoliste: Überlege dir nicht nur mit wem du unbedingt Fotos haben möchtest, sondern auch welche Fotos nicht fehlen dürfen. Besprich dies mit deinem Hochzeitsplaner oder deinem Fotografen direkt, sodass du dir an deiner Hochzeit keine Gedanken mehr machen musst.

5. Das Probelaufen: Deine Hochzeitsschuhe sollten natürlich eingelaufen sein aber wusstest du, dass du auch das Laufen in deinem Kleid üben solltest? Meist läuft man bei der Anprobe nur ein paar Meter aber an der Hochzeit selbst solltest du ein gutes Gefühl haben, wenn du das Kleid trägst. Übe vor der Hochzeit also einmal eine längere Strecke (im Haus z.B.) zu laufen.

6. „Hold it by the pubes, not the boobs.“ Dieser Merkspruch zielt auf den Brautstrauß ab. Um möglichst natürliche Fotos zu erhalten, halte deinen Brautstrauß nicht vor deinem Dekolleté, sondern vor deiner Hüfte. Dadurch kommt auch dein Kleid besser zur Geltung.

7. Schuhwechsel: Denk daran, dir ein zweites Paar Schuhe für die Party mitzunehmen. Ob weiße Sneaker, Schlappen oder Ballerinas – hier kommt es ganz auf deinen Geschmack an. Wenn du in deinen Hochzeitsschuhen super laufen kannst, kannst du sie natürlich auch am Abend tragen.

8. Laufen, nicht rennen: Einige Bräute sind an der Hochzeit so aufgeregt, dass sie nervös zum Altar hasten, anstatt zu gehen. Nimm dir also bewusst Zeit. Dies gilt übrigens auch für den Hochzeitskuss. Zähle im Kopf ruhig bis 5, um den Moment auszukosten.

9. Akzeptiere Pannen: es wird nicht alles glatt gehen. Tatsächlich sind die schönsten Hochzeiten die, bei denen man merkt, dass das Hochzeitspaar einfach nur Spaß hat. Es sind nicht die, bei denen vermeintlich alles perfekt läuft. Sollte etwas schief gehen, versuche darüber zu lachen.

10. Genieße den Tag! Das wichtigste natürlich zum Schluss. Nimm dir ganz bewusst Pausen mit deinem Ehepartner, um den Tag wirklich zu genießen. Du könntest zum Beispiel von vornherein Zeit zu zweit einplanen oder dich bei der Party wegschleichen, um alles aus der Ferne zu beobachten.

Ich stelle euch heute 10 Hochzeitstrends rund um das Hochzeitspaar vor: 5 Trends, die für mehr Intimität sorgen und 5 Trends, bei denen ihr richtig gefeiert werdet! Mit eurem Hochzeitsplaner seid ihr am Überlegen, wie ihr eure Hochzeit individueller und mit mehr Zeit für euch planen könnt, aber ihr kommt nicht weiter? Hier seid ihr genau richtig.

1. Plant Zeit für Zweisamkeit
Euer großer Tag geht wahnsinnig schnell vorbei. Ohne es zu wissen, habt ihr einen durchgetakteten Ablauf und wollt natürlich jeden Gast begrüßen, die Location sehen etc. Der Tipp von mir: Plant in euren Ablauf 30 Minuten nach eurer freien Trauung ein, die nur ihr beiden genießen könnt.

2. Private Last Dance?
Es wird spät und der Abend neigt sich so langsam dem Ende. Zusätzlich habt ihr den ganzen Tag mit euren Freunden und eurer Familie verbracht, ihr wart aufgeregt und ekstatisch. Der DJ bittet alle nach draußen, um euch gleich gebührend zu verabschieden und ihr tanzt einen letzten Tanz für euch alleine. Schöner kann eine Hochzeit doch nicht enden, oder?

3. First Look
Ein First Look ist in den letzten Jahren immer beliebter geworden und vielleicht kennt es der ein oder andere auch schon. Traditionell sieht sich das Hochzeitspaar erst am Altar. Möchte man den Moment aber intimer gestalten, kann man einen sogenannten First Look abhalten. Dabei ist nur der Fotograf anwesend und man bekommt den Moment, an dem man sich zum ersten Mal sieht für sich alleine. Und nein, die Magie geht dadurch beim Einzug an den Altar nicht verloren. 😉

4. Handyfreie Trauung
Auch immer beliebter ist ein Schild bei der Trauung, das den Gästen zeigt, dass ihr eine sogenannte „unplugged“ Zeremonie möchtet. Ihr habt nicht umsonst einen Fotografen dabei und eure Gäste können sich dadurch ganz auf die Emotionen konzentrieren. Wer trotzdem instagramwütige Eltern hat, kann die Gäste für eine Minute Fotos machen lassen.

5. Gelübde privat vorlesen
Passend zum First Look kann man sich auch das eigene Gelübde gegenseitig privat vorlesen. Das kann man entweder vor oder nach dem First Look tun – stellt nur sicher, dass der Make Up Artist noch in der Nähe ist, um eventuell den Look aufzufrischen. 😉

6. Ein zweites Kleid gefällig?
Heiratet ein Partner in einem Kleid, sollte das doch eigentlich ausreichen, oder nicht? Auf gar keinen Fall, finden wir! Ein schlichteres, luftigeres Kleid – oder ein Jumpsuit – zur Party ist auf jeden Fall im Trend. Außerdem hat das den Vorteil, dass man sich noch einmal frisch machen kann. Und wo wir gerade beim Kleid sind – wie wäre es mit einem zweiten Paar Schuhe?

7. Extravagante „Send-Offs“
Ein Send-Off wird meist noch in den Staaten gefeiert und ist hier zu Lande noch nicht allzu bekannt. Das Hochzeitspaar wird nach der Party in die Flitterwochen oder in ihr Hotel verabschiedet. Dabei wird noch einmal laut gefeiert, gejubelt und das Paar verschwindet dann in einem Oldtimer. Feuerwerk, Konfetti, Champagner – ein extravagantes Send-Off kennt keine Grenzen. Zusätzlich hat das den Vorteil, dass die Party ein gemeinsames Ende findet.

8. Adults Only
Dieser Punkt ist sicherlich nicht für jedes Paar geeignet. Solltet ihr das aber für eure Hochzeit überlegen und euch nicht trauen, ist das euer Zeichen. Jedes Paar hat eigene Gründe warum oder warum keine Kinder an der Hochzeit teilnehmen, aber denkt immer daran: es ist euer Tag! Gestaltet eure Feier so, wie ihr es euch wirklich wünscht.

9. Einzug in die Party
Ich empfehle es immer und es kommt jedes Mal gut an: der Einzug in die Party! Nach der Trauung hattet ihr einen Empfang, ihr habt mit euren Gästen geredet, vielleicht gab es eine Aktivität und ihr wart Paarbilder machen. Eure Gäste sitzen schon auf ihren Plätzen, der DJ spielt ein passendes Lied und ihr betretet den Saal zum ersten Mal als Ehepaar. Die Stimmung, die jetzt entsteht, muss man erlebt haben.

10. Wochenend- statt Tageshochzeiten
Anstatt die standesamtliche und die kirchliche/freie Trauung auf einen Tag zu legen und alles an einem Tag durchzuziehen, macht lieber ein Wochenende daraus. So könnte das aussehen: Am Freitag beginnt ihr mit der standesamtlichen Trauung, anschließend fahrt ihr zu eurer Location. Ihr esst gemeinsam mit euren Gästen und jeder kann den nächsten Tag entspannt und so ausgeschlafen wie möglich beginnen. Ihr feiert eure Hochzeit, könnt die Party genießen und bruncht am nächsten Morgen gemeinsam. Zum Schluss könnt ihr es euch noch bei einem Spatag richtig gut gehen lassen!

Einer meiner Lieblingsdienstleister: die Konditorei! Entgegen der Annahme, dass der Konditor ausschließlich die Hochzeitstorte entwirft, können durchaus mehr Aufgaben an diesen abgegeben werden. Besonders bei exklusiven Hochzeiten legen Paare viel Wert darauf, dass jeder Dienstleister in seiner Branche perfekt arbeitet. Caterer bieten auch diverse Desserts an, kommt dies aber von der Konditorei, kann das Paar davon ausgehen, dass die Hochzeit auch geschmacklich den Gästen in Erinnerung bleibt.

Die Hochzeitstorte

Wenn man die Worte „Konditorei“ und „Hochzeit“ in einem Satz verwendet, denkt jeder wohl zuerst an die Hochzeitstorte. Für viele ist es das Herzstück der Hochzeit und ein Highlight, sie gemeinsam anzuschneiden. Im Trend liegen aktuell aber keine klassischen Hochzeitstorten, sondern ausgefallenere Ideen wie herzhafte Torten oder mehrere kleine Torten anstatt einer großen.

Die Größe der Torte
Die Tortengröße richtet sich grundsätzlich nach der Anzahl der Gäste. Wer viele Gäste erwartet, erhält auch eine größere Torte. Trotzdem wird bei dem Entwurf der Torte nicht pro Gast ein Stück einberechnet, da die Torte oft nach dem Essen serviert wird. Dann sind viele Gäste schon satt und es kann viel übrig bleiben. Wundert euch also nicht, wenn euch die Torte erst einmal klein vorkommt, die der Konditor vorschlägt.
Plant ihr, die Torte am Nachmittag zu servieren, könnt ihr mit einem Stück pro Gast rechnen. Dies muss aber in den individuellen Zeitplan passen und entscheidet jedes Paar selbst.

Unterschiedliche Geschmäcker
Jeder gute Konditor wird euch ein Taste Testing anbieten. Dort habt ihr die Möglichkeit einige der Böden und Füllungen, die angeboten werden, zu probieren und euch letztendlich für eure Lieblingskombination(en) zu entscheiden. Torte, Torte, Torte!
Beschränkt euch bei der Auswahl eurer Torte nicht auf die klassische runde, eingedeckte, dreistöckige Torte, wenn sie nicht zu euch und eurer Hochzeit passt. Schlichte, elegante Torten sind im Trend und es lassen sich auch einige Elemente aus dem Interior Design hier wiederfinden. Naked Cakes sind eine tolle Möglichkeit Fondant zu umgehen, wenn man das nicht möchte und eckige Torten spiegeln klassische Eleganz besonders wieder. Wichtig ist, dass die Torte zu dem Stil eurer Hochzeit passt. Im Idealfall kommuniziert euer Hochzeitsplaner direkt mit der Konditorei und kann das Designkonzept weitergeben. Sweet Tables

Neben der Hochzeitstorte rücken Sweet Tables immer mehr in den Fokus von Hochzeitspaaren. Auf Sweet Tables wird eine breite Variation von Patisserie oder süßen Leckereien angeboten. Die Candy Bar ist sicher vielen ein Begriff, der Sweet Table ist die elegantere und luxuriösere Tante. Candy Bars sind ebenso spannend, bieten aber nicht die Auswahl an Möglichkeiten, die ein Sweet Table beinhaltet.

Euch sind wirklich keine Grenzen gesetzt – ob Macarons oder gefüllte Croissants bis hin zu Cupcakes, Cake Pops oder Tartelettes. Alles was ihr für eure Hochzeit möchtet, kann Platz auf dem Sweet Table finden.
