Wedding Trends come and go and while 2025 couples have been more spontaneous, 2026 couples are definitely planning couples.

In 2026, couples are moving beyond the traditional vendor list and seeking out artisans, boutique studios, and creative collaborators who understand their lifestyle and aesthetic vision. Think florists who create museum-worthy installations, photographers with editorial and fashion backgrounds, and chefs trained in Michelin-starred kitchens.
Every wedding vendor is hand-selected not just for skill, but for their ability to deliver a white-glove, luxury-level experience. Thinking outside the box and hiring for an experience rather than just having a vendor is more important than ever. For example, I recommend my couples to go with vendors that reflect their personal taste. A DJ does not have to be a wedding DJ but can be a DJ that fills nightclubs if that is what you are going for. The guest’s experience is what really makes a wedding luxe which is why I focus on that in my planning. I work with vendors who come up with new creations – from the invites to the Thank You cards.

For example, a luxury bride and groom in Lake Como had their vows handwritten by a calligraphy artist onto hand-dyed silk scrolls. They were then presented in individual keepsake boxes for each guest.
Multi-day events are definitely here to stay and especially destination weddings to upscale locations are what we will see in 2026 and also 2027. Lake Como is still one of the most sought after locations for weddings but couples have also been looking at other places. Remote islands, renting out hotels in the French Alps or South East Asia are for sure on the rise in terms of destinations. Your guests will appreciate a blend of celebration and sophisticated travel.
The experience comes with the right vendors and couples tend to book the extravagant option more. Think less Pinterest and more MoMA – art installations, mirror aisles and light design are what is it for the new It-couple. Your wedding starts with your invitation and from this point forward everyone on your guest list should be taken care of. Whether it is private chauffeurs from the airport to the hotel or handwritten letters for each guest, I get to know every couple very well and advise them individually how they can make their wedding more THEM.
Privacy as a wedding trend
One of the most interesting luxury wedding trends for 2026 so far is the rise in the wish to privacy. I have received more NDAs than before and tech-free weddings (or highly technologised, no in between ;)) are also becoming more popular. Couples are opting out of public exposure in favor of more private, intentional celebrations. This can also mean renting out whole islands or hotels to make sure that everything runs smoothly.
In an age of oversharing and constant digital noise, the most powerful statement a couple can make in 2026 is silence—or at least, exclusivity. Privacy is no longer a preference; it’s a status symbol.
This trend has redefined luxury weddings as intimate, high-security experiences, where discretion is built into every layer of planning. NDAs for vendors, unplugged ceremonies, and even social media embargoes are standard practice.
